Bungie is looking for a talented Rigging Tech Artist to join our team! Do you ever use MacGyver techniques to get art to function and behave in spectacular ways with what you have available to you (batteries, feather and duct-tape are not included)? When you use 3D animation software, do you find yourself gravitating toward the script editor to automate and extend the functionality in ways never before imagined by humans? If so, you might be just who we’re looking for!


  • Acquire a deep understanding of our engine and related tools
  • Operation of Bungie’s proprietary rigging system and DCC tools and technology
  • Collaboration with Character 3D Art, Hard-Surface 3D Art, Animation and Design
  • Skin weighting & Deformation
  • Contribute to and maintain our Maya Python tools codebase
  • Quality assurance for 3D art and animation content
  • Provide desk side support for Artists, Animators and Designers
  • Develop and maintain tools pipelines, supporting artists working efficiently
  • Outsourcing support

Required Skills

  • 1+ years of experience and at least one shipped title or equivalent project work
  • Undergraduate degree or completion of a certificate program that provides an education in the fundamentals of art and/or programming
  • Professional or personal experience working with real-time game engines
  • Proficiency at Rigging in Autodesk Maya or equivalent software
  • Object Oriented Python scripting
  • Comfortable with prototyping and fast iterative development cycles
  • Problem solving skills, good collaboration and a keen eye for detail are critical for success in this role
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to take direction well
  • Motivation for creating great games
  • Passion for supporting and enabling others
