Senior HR Business Partner

We’re looking for a talented and driven Senior HR Business Partner with demonstrated success in a dynamic, creative environment. The Senior HR Business Partner is both a strategic and hands-on role that provides business advisory support to development and non-development disciplines, while also directly contributing to HR project work. The Senior HR Business Partner is instrumental in executing our people initiatives, providing great internal customer support, and driving HR functional excellence and process improvement. Responsibilities

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to leaders and managers within assigned client groups and provide HR support across multiple disciplines
  • Understand business goals and recommend new approaches, policies, and procedures to improve and effectively integrate HR and business strategies
  • Work with assigned client groups to understand their needs and challenges, providing feedback and perspective on how to successfully implement HR initiatives
  • Work with assigned business groups to assess, create, and implement innovative solutions for employee engagement initiatives
  • Proactively identify and handle a wide range of issues, driving appropriate and practical solutions
  • Engage in difficult conversations, giving and receiving constructive feedback with professionalism and candor
  • Coach managers through challenging employee and organizational issues to help build manager capability
  • Help drive the efficient resolution of employee relations issues
  • Collaborate with the HR Team on the creation and implementation of HR initiatives, owning and driving HR projects as needed
  • Partner with business leaders and various internal teams (Recruitment, Finance, Legal, IT, etc.) to encourage innovation and ensure the continual improvement and relevance of HR programs and processes
  • Adeptly balance business needs, goals, and values with employee advocacy
  • Manage multiple priorities simultaneously and under pressure, adapting to change and flexing when needed to pitch in on the day-to-day HR Team work
  • Conduct exit interviews for outgoing employees within client groups, identifying themes and areas for action or improvement

Required Skills

  • 8+ years of experience in HR, with 5+ years in an HR Business Partner role
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • Exemplary professional integrity, including discretion, confidentiality, judgement, and a strong work ethic
  • Strong business and HR acumen, including strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Effective consulting skills, with an ability to influence in all directions
  • Solid understanding of current federal and state employment laws
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to think analytically and de-escalate situations by providing information, direction, and advice
  • Strong drive to foster a positive and collaborative work environment
  • Passion for innovative HR solutions and process improvement
  • Ability to work autonomously but also take direction
  • Experience supporting a matrixed organization
  • Technical aptitude in MS Office applications as well as a variety of HR systems

Nice To Have Skills

  • HR experience in the entertainment industry
  • HR specific education, training, or certification
  • Experience creating and/or driving L&D or D&I initiatives
  • Experience handling ER investigations, start to finish
  • Systems implementation experience
  • A passion for games!
