As a Production Department Manager at Bungie, you will:
-  Continuously strengthen and improve the organizational health of our production team
-  Ensure that we have the most engaged and best managed talent in games
-  Recruit, coach, and mentor the best production team in the industry

While we value and desire a production background, this role is primarily focused on people management and organizational health.

During these uncertain times and rapidly changing environment surrounding COVID-19, all positions at Bungie are subject to onboarding and working virtually/remotely.


  • Directly manage 3-5 production managers or expert-level ICs, providing support, mentorship, constructive feedback, and career development advice
  • Support production managers and Bungie Recruiting in identifying, sourcing, interviewing, and hiring external talent
  • Refine, communicate, and administer standards and processes for evaluating producer performance
  • Scour the industry for best practices in craft, culture, and management, developing and leading strategies to mentor and grow our talent
  • Engage in proactive advocacy with product teams and other disciplines to drive alignment both inside the department and across the studio

Required Skills

  • Experience managing and/or leading a production organization of 5+ people
  • Professional production experience on AAA games or market-leading app development
  • Exceptional emotional intelligence and communication skills

Nice To Have Skills

  • Professional experience in full-cycle AAA game development
  • Understanding of behavioral psychology
  • Exposure to and practice of professional coaching and performance management techniques
  • Ability to develop and administer effective mentorship programs
  • Experience in game production education
