Contract International Senior Digital Marketing Manager

Bungie is looking for a data hungry, customer-centric International Senior Digital Marketing Manager with a proven track record of success in games, tech or e-commerce. The ideal candidate has a deep understanding for media, advertising and modern user acquisition techniques that will drive Destiny and Bungie’s player growth.

In this role, you will be responsible for acquiring new players for Destiny and future Bungie products, collaborating and aligning directly with our Bungie brand, consumer marketing, public relations and community teams. You will work with these groups to define the user growth strategy for Bungie's International Marketing teams, build out effective acquisition campaigns, while discovering new opportunities to find new players and re-engage lapsed players. You will be data-informed with a focus on driving cost-effective growth to the business.

Required Skills

  • Lead lean user acquisition through agency work
  • Architect the EMEA strategy and roadmap for media buying across all networks and channels to drive players to Destiny year-round across multiple platforms
  • Help build out UA tools and tech stack, creating a foundation for the team’s long-term success
  • In collaboration with our central team, help create predictive buying models, building tools and analysis to improve ROAS, while tracking performance across player progression benchmarks to predict user quality
  • Identify trends and insights to continually optimize and track the effectiveness and profitability of campaigns
  • Provide strategic direction for EMEA media buying to deliver the best growth opportunities
  • Manage the direct user acquisition budget, clearly establishing core KPIs, while building forecasts for how acquisition costs and profitability will change over time
  • Cooperate with Bungie media central team to participate in the development and implementation of features that improve the acquisition funnel
  • Communicate detailed strategy and performance summaries to central and regional leadership teams (targeting, creative refreshes, media buying, etc)
  • Continually test new partners, geographies, and acquisition strategies
  • Develop a buying model for ROI-driven paid re-engagement campaigns, to bring lapsed players back into our games
  • Own the regional media creative strategy, working with internal and external artists and video team to develop an ongoing data-informed UA creative pipeline

Nice To Have Skills

  • 5+ years of experience in digital marketing or performance based marketing in a relevant industry (games, tech, e-commerce, etc). Media agency background is a plus
  • Experience optimizing landing pages, funnels and running multivariate tests
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and execute complex user acquisition strategies across multiple channels, platforms and geographies
  • Fluency in the digital marketing ecosystem, with expertise in data analytics, attribution and measurement platforms
  • Experience managing budgets, reporting on results, and forecasting future impact of user acquisition efforts
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple, competing priorities at once
  • Proven analytical skills, using hard data and metrics to back up assumptions
  • Excellent communication skills with a proven track record of distilling complex information in an understandable way to key stakeholders to drive key insights
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent marketing experience is required; MBA is a plus
